Copper Leaf Media
Full-Stack Web Development
The project involved building a secure client-facing portal that integrates with Monday.com through its API rather than embedding Monday boards. The portal maps clients and users to specific Monday boards and tasks, displays configurable columns, supports task and subtask updates, and provides administration tools for managing clients, users, board mappings, and portal configuration.

The main challenge was creating a secure system where each client could see only their own tasks while keeping Monday.com as the underlying project-management system. The integration needed to support both reading and writing Monday.com data, configurable column visibility and editing, subtasks, comments, different column types, and synchronization between Monday.com and the portal. Additional challenges included WordPress API authentication, API limitations around mirrored columns, performance when updating tasks, and keeping portal data synchronized without requiring users to manually refresh the page.
Developed a full-stack portal with server-side Monday.com API integration and configurable board/column mapping. Implemented client-specific task filtering, task and subtask management, editable Monday.com fields, comments, row visibility rules based on column IDs, admin user management, password reset functionality, profile management, and Google Drive integration. Monday.com webhooks were also implemented and tested to automatically synchronize changes with the portal instead of relying entirely on manual refreshes.
The portal progressed into a functional client-management and task-management platform capable of reading and writing Monday.com tasks and subtasks, supporting configurable board mappings, client-specific visibility, editable fields, comments, and automatic synchronization. The automatic webhook synchronization was successfully tested, while administrative features such as user creation, password recovery, and profile management were also added.
